INDABA REVIEW 2003

3 - 6 May, was Indaba, held annually in Durban - South Africa, it is the largest tourism showcase on the whole continent, with over 1800 exhibitors. It takes two exhibition/conference centres and the road between them is closed and utilised for outdoor exhibitors.
The picture above is of our stand. You can see Pinky in the chair and the enlargement of some photos we have taken over the years, used to "entice" new agents into our fold, of specialised tours.

I absolutely love the pic of Michell with the lion cub in his lap. At the back, out of view is another pic of Alec, Joan and Barbara in the game vehicle with their chairs waiting for them behind the vehicle - it says it all, another favourite pic! How do you like my teardrop flags ? The latest rage for advertising in this country at the moment! They were even picked up by the TV camera when they scanned the area for "Morning Live".

For this year I decided I needed a really good marketing tool and I have had such pleasure making the CD's (although not professionally enough) of photos taken during tours for the guests on departure, that I decided to make one of each area using these pics. (I hope none of you mind being seen all over the world!!) So I made one CD with options to choose of your virtual tour - Cape Town, with over 60 slides in that presentation with all the pl;aces of itnerest that we go to. Garden Route, with 55 slides of that area. Game viewing, with 33 slides of animals and people on game vehicles. Then an 18 slide presentation of our Seasonal Flowers - Spectacular! and finally a short 7 slide presentation of adapted vehicles and bathrooms. What fun I had, but many hours behind this machine. Jason Weeks, my daughter's boyfriend, helped me with the music and tweeking it to make it look so professional. I now feel like I need to improve on previous CD's done - maybe one day or over winter!

WE HAVE A YOUNG LADY FROM IRELAND ...

It sounds like a limeric, but it is not. I have a lovely young lady who will be travelling with us from 27th September and departing Cape Town on 16th October 2003 and she would like to share this holiday with someone else who wants to share expenses, but still have the beauty of a private tour.

If you know of anyone wishing to travel and wanting to save on costs, this is the opportunity to do so.
We are calling it our Spring Fever Tour!
