Hawthorn Suites Becomes Sponsor of SATH

ATLANTA (March 22, 2006) – To expand its initiatives to better serve travelers with disabilities,Hawthorn Suites – the all-suites, extended stay hotel brand – has become a sponsor of The Society for Accessible Travel & Hospitality (SATH).

“We are excited about Hawthorn’s dedication to our project and welcome the brand into our family of sponsors who recognize the growing importance of the market for travelers with disabilities,” said Steve Mydanick, Director of Corporate Affairs for SATH.

Microtel Inns & Suites, also franchised by USFS, was the first hotel brand to become a sponsor of SATH and has been involved with the organization since 2004.

SATH is a nonprofit educational membership organization. Its mission is to raise awareness of the needs of all travelers with disabilities, remove physical and attitudinal barriers to free access, and expand travel opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. Hawthorn Suites offers ADA-rooms throughout its chain with spacious one-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens and studio suites with wet bars.
