SPROUT FILM FESTIVAL 2007: MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE
GROUND-BREAKING WORKS OF FILM AND VIDEO RELATED TO THE FIELD OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES


The fifth annual Sprout Film Festival presents diverse and independent shorts, documentaries, animations and narratives related to the field of developmental disabilities. By presenting entertaining, thought-provoking, artistic works, the aim of this festival is to promote awareness and inclusion, break down stereotypes and be a fun, rewarding event for all. This landmark film festival will 6 unique programs that include 20 films, from 9 countries and will take place on Friday April 27th and Saturday April 28th at New York University’s Cantor Film Center, 36 East 8th Street, and on Sunday April 29th at the International Hostel at 103rd St. and Amsterdam Avenue. Festival highlights include “My Brother” starring Venessa Williams, “Brain Man” a documentary about autistic savant Daniel Tammet and “Kids Like These” a 1986 movie starring Tyne Daly.
