FOR GUESTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

HONOLULU – Guests with special needs can enjoy a variety of daily cruise options aboard Hawaii’s premier sightseeing and sunset dinner cruise ship, the A.D.A.-approved Star of Honolulu.

From beginning to end of their cruise experience, all guests are well taken care of. Before boarding the 1,500-passenger Star, wheelchair-users may opt for round-trip transportation aboard motorcoaches outfitted with wheelchair lifts and seating accommodations, provided by sister company Superstar Hawaii Transit Service (PUC 1505-C). Upon arrival, cruise-goers may utilize spacious boarding ramps, panoramic walkways, and comfortable dining arrangements. The Star’s barrier-free facilities also include A.D.A-approved restrooms, elevators, personalized crew assistance upon request, and exclusive high-tech stabilizers for a smooth ride. Written safety briefings are available for hearing-impaired passengers, restroom and ballroom signs are posted in Braille, and special seating for guests accompanied by guide dogs may also be provided.

The Hawaiian Cultural Cruise features a sumptuous lunch buffet, cultural activities such as lei-making and hula lessons, and whale watching from December to April. Perfect for families, it is moderately priced at $41.95 per adult and $25.00 for children ages 3-11. Sunset cruises offer steak and seafood dinners, live entertainment, and dancing, with prices starting at $65.95 per adult. Round-trip transportation from the Waikiki area may be purchased for $9.00 per person.
